Kia ora, Malo e lelei, Namaste, Ni sa bula vinaka, Talofa lava, Karibuni!
Thank you for visiting our website. St. John's is a friendly, multi-cultural, community church where you can be sure of a warm welcome.
We pray a variety of eucharistic services following the church year based on the NZ prayer book, and drawing also on other liturgical sources. Music plays an important role with modern songs and some traditional hymns.
The building is used by two other churches and a great variety of other groups during the week.
Our youth group meets fortnightly on a Friday evening (from 6pm) during term time for food, fun, friendship and exploration of how faith and life connect. All are welcome - for more info contact the church office.
We are currently in the Red light setting of the Covid Protection Framework. For us this means wearing masks except when eating and drinking, and avoiding close physical proximity and contact. Communion is wafer only.
Holy Communion is held in the Church -
Every Sunday Morning 9:30 AM
and every Wednesday 10.00 AM.
All our services are all-age - our community intentionally worships together.
Holy Communion is also taken to St. John's Hospital 11:00 AM 2nd Wednesday of each month when Covid restrictions allow.
